I still find Polish food to be very good, even though I am getting bored with Warsaw. The Carrefour down the street has a potato pancakes. I used to love going to the International House of Pancakes and getting the potato pancakes with applesauce and sour cream. I stopped going there when they stopped serving potato pancakes. I guess that was about the time that they changed the name to iHop. Have you noticed that with each name change, the pancakes have gone from being international to being more and more other worldly.
- Red Velvet Pancakes.
- Rooty Tooty Fresh ‘N Fruity Pancakes.
- Chocolate Chocolate Chip Pancakes
- Harvest Grain ‘N Nut Pancakes
- Strawberry Banana Pancakes
- Raspberry White Chocolate Chip Pancakes
- Double Blueberry Pancakes
- New York Cheesecake Pancakes
Yuck, just give me back the international pancakes. Well, thank goodness for traveling internationally. My friend recommended the pancakes below. I like them fine, but the other day I found fresh potato pancakes in the prepared meals area of the store. The instore made ones were cheaper and and had more in the package. I really can’t tell the difference between the two.
Both sorts of potato pancakes come pre cooked. All I had to do was put them in a hot skillet for two minutes on each side to crisp them up before serving. Since I can no longer eat apple products (no iPhone jokes please), I replaced the sweet part of the dish with bilberry preserves. Since I like greek yogurt just as much as sour cream, I replaced the sour cream with greek yogurt. It sure was good.
